Neuroanatomy Operative Approaches Part I (One)
A two day cadaveric dissection course aimed at Neurosurgical trainees in the early years of their training i.e ST 3- ST 5 (UK). This course is designed to give trainees the opportunity to understand the anatomy of commonly used cranial operative approaches (one cadaver per two delegates) under the supervision of Consultant Neurosurgeons.
The course is spread over two days. The first day covers approaches to the supra-tentorial compartment followed by approaches to the posterior fossa on the second day. The cost of the course is £700. Apply on line here or contact j.johnson1@leeds.ac.uk.

08.00 to 08.30 - Registration & Coffee
08.30 to 09.00 - Pterional craniotomy
09.00 to 11.00 - Dissection
11.00 to 11.15 - Coffee
11.15 to 11.45 - Midline inter-hemispheric approach
11.45 to 13.30 - Dissection
13.30 to 14.30 - Lunch
14.30 to 15.00 - Anterior frontal approach
15.00 to 17.00 - Dissection
Day 2
08.00 to 08.30 - Registration & Coffee
08.30 to 09.00 - Sub-temporal approach
09.00 to 11.00 - Dissection
11.00 to 11.15 - Coffee
11.15 to 11.45 - Retro-sigmoid approach
11.45 to 13.30 - Disssection
13.30 to 14.30 - Lunch
14.30 to 15.00 - Midline posterior fossa approach
15.00 to 17.00 - Dissection
